ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Oral presentation will take place during special and general sessions. During the Symposium, there will be a unique session (i.e.no parallel sessions) placed in the Auditorium.

Oral presenters will have a maximum time of 12 minutes for the talk and 3 minutes for questions. We request the speakers to strictly respect the time schedule, which has been optimally adjusted. To help presenters to calculate their time, a chronometer will be visible at the corner of the screen.

Presentations must be given to the Organization the day before each corresponding presentation. There will be a responsible from the Organization to receive the presentations in the back side of the Auditorium during the following moments: welcome desk, coffee breaks, lunch time and poster sessions (i.e. when no oral presentations are taking place).. ().

As an exception, Monday presenters, who are not going to be able to give their presentation in person on Sunday, will be allowed to send their presentations by e-mail or via www.wetransfer.com to info@jellyfishbloom2016.com.

The format of the presentation must be in pdf or power point files compatible with windows software. All MAC users must be sure their presentations work in a windows PC.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Poster sessions will take place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. All posters are going to be exposed during the whole week in Planeta Aqua lounge of the Aquàrium of Barcelona. This lounge is also opened to general public of the Aquarium, what brings the opportunity to show science to citizens

On Monday, the poster session will be opened with the reception event.

There will always be a responsible person from the Organization that will help you to place your poster when you need to. Posters have been ordered by topic, therefore a specific place has been designated for each poster. This information will be provided in the welcome desk during the registration. We will also provide Velcro circles to hang them, but you are allowed to bring your own tacks or adhesive tape if your prefer it.

The measures of posters must be 90x120 cm.

For eco-friendly reasons, we won’t provide baskets to hang paper copies of posters. Nevertheless, we will provide a QR codes to the interested presenters that want to share their posters and give a copy of their works. The QR code will link to the Symposium webpage where people will be able to download the poster. Interested participants on this option write to info@jellyfishbloom2016.com with “QR code” as subject and we will give you more detailed information.
